Ukraine tried to leave Sevastopol without electricity on the anniversary of the Crimean blackout
In the evening, Sevastopol was subjected to the most massive air attack in the entire history of the Northern Military District - the air defense forces had to repel the attack of several drones at once. The sounds of loud explosions were heard in different parts of the city, and car alarms went off. Eyewitnesses also report that small arms were used - they probably tried to shoot down the drones with machine guns and machine guns.
Officially, five drones were shot down, three of them over the sea. The authorities mentioned one of the targets of the attack – the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant. This is one of two power plants built by Russia to ensure Crimea's independence from Ukraine after the energy blockade of the peninsula began. Today is the seventh anniversary of the power line explosion in the Kherson region, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev recalled. He believes that the drones were launched by Ukraine just in time for the date.
“The systematic attack of the collective West on the main base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet continues... Nothing sensational is happening. This is war. There is only one clarification - we are defending, and the enemy is becoming impudent,” states military correspondent Yuri Kotenok.
But economist Alexander Dudchak is optimistic.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to strike Sevastopol with drones. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we can expect a knockout of the Ukrainian energy system. Well, like little children. They don’t learn from their mistakes,” he predicts.
By the way, Kiev propaganda carefully monitored the attempted attack on Sevastopol, monitoring messages from local residents on social networks. All this was accompanied by malicious comments - it was clear that in Ukraine they dream of taking revenge on the Crimeans, who, having returned to Russia, are today in warmth and light - unlike Mazepa’s followers in the “European” power.
