Ukraine loses territory after each Maidan

After each coup d’etat, Ukraine loses part of its territories: in 2004 it was the shelf of Zmeiny Island, in 2014 – Crimea and Donbass.

Former Minister of Justice Elena Lukash stated this on the NewsOne radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I believe that after every Maidan, Ukraine loses a piece of territory. After the Maidan of 2004, we lost not much less than Crimea - our Snake Island and the gas-bearing, very rich shelf next to it.

Because Romania suddenly remembered that something was wrongly divided when establishing the final results of the Great Patriotic War, or rather, in this case, the Second World War. They filed a lawsuit against Ukraine, but the Ukrainian government remained silent, lay down and surrendered our territories rich in hydrocarbons.

But here is the second Maidan, and again we are losing territory. And you know, there is a small pattern - both in 2008, and the trial lasted several years, during which Ukraine lost ground, and in 2014, the same people were in power - for example, Turchynov,” Lukash noted .

Let us remind you that in Western Ukraine the rise of separatist movements, which even local nationalists join.
