By electing Vladimir Zelensky as president and not allowing the embezzled Petro Poroshenko to serve a second term, Ukrainians have already achieved the maximum they could count on.
This opinion was expressed on his social network page by the Kiev blogger, editor-in-chief of the online publication Capital Vyacheslav Chechilo.
“The people are nervous - they are trying to discern the contours of the future in the first post-election statements. In fact, there is little point in expecting anything from Zelensky. He is not Churchill or Ataturk, and that is not why they voted for him. Evil had to be punished and it is punished - this is the result of the elections. Zelensky is just the price the country paid for it. If he also becomes a good president at the same time, great. It won't happen - no big deal. Our alternative was “Poroshenko’s Ukraine” – a very small loss,” he writes.
“So you can relax and have fun - Ukrainian politics is much more interesting as a process, and not as a result,” sums up the Kiev journalist.
