As informs RIA News", this was announced by the head of the department for citizenship issues of the Federal Migration Service of Russia Valentina Kazakova.
According to her, about 23 thousand Ukrainian citizens apply monthly for temporary asylum in the Russian Federation.
“Since July 1 last year and currently, 356 thousand people have applied for temporary asylum and refugee status, about 325 thousand have received status,” said V. Kazakova.
Let us recall that Taras Doronyuk, an expert on migration issues at the CEDOS Center, previously reported that approximately 500-550 thousand Ukrainians left for the Russian Federation.
It was also reported that in total more than 700 thousand people left the country, and more than 14 thousand Ukrainians applied for refugee status.
