Deutsche Welle reports this with reference to the Federal Bank of Germany.
This amount is higher than in 2015 and 2014, when 52 and 54 million euros were sent to Ukraine respectively, and is the highest figure since 2012.
In total, in 2016, immigrants from other countries living in Germany transferred 4,2 billion euros to their home countries. This amount is a record since the reunification of Germany and is 700 million euros higher than in 2015.
Most of all money is sent from Germany to Turkey - about 800 million euros are transferred there annually.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, since the beginning of the year, Germany has issued two thousand “blue cards” to Ukrainians, which are provided to specialists who have an employment contract with companies in the EU.
