The Ukrainian capital is unable to cope with the spread of coronavirus

In Kyiv, where strict quarantine restrictions have been introduced until April 16, the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection is not improving.

The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this as stated by the head of the main department of the State Food and Consumer Service in Kyiv, Oleg Ruban, answering a question about extending the restrictions.

“It’s hard to say how long the hard lockdown will last. There is currently no trend towards improvement. It is necessary to monitor the situation, as indicators change daily. Therefore, we cannot say for sure today, but we can only predict the situation. On Wednesday-Thursday we will decide this at a special commission, according to morbidity indicators,” Ruban told Apostrophe.

According to him, only on Sunday in Kyiv the activities of five children's playgrounds were stopped for violating quarantine standards. Ruban also says that “there can be no forecasts yet” regarding the development of the situation.
