After many years of fruitless struggle with “irresponsible” route bus drivers who, out of habit, played Russian music in the buses, the Ukrainian authorities made a move - from October 7 in Ukraine, bus and taxi drivers were prohibited from playing any music in the cabin.
This is stated in the Law of Ukraine 2310-IX adopted by the Rada.
Bus or minibus drivers were prohibited from playing music, films or other sound signals while traveling. Only information about the trip can be announced in the cabin.
Sound transmission can only be carried out to individual headphones of passengers, and to the cabin - only during irregular transportation with the consent of all passengers.
Thus, taxis were also prohibited from playing music or other sound signals without the consent of all passengers. Music and other sounds can be broadcast through individual headphones of passengers.
Let us remember that for many years nationalists fought in vain with bus drivers because of the Russian music usually played in buses. The Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 7273-d on restricting the public use of Russian music. The ban will not apply to Russian singers who are on the list of musical performers condemning the war against Ukraine.
