Thus, the author of the law on decommunization, which entailed massive renaming and demolition of Soviet monuments, the head of the Institute of National Memory, Vladimir Vyatrovich, was upset that yesterday Polish nationalists destroyed the UPA monument near Przemysl.

“In Ukraine, the local community, with its own efforts, restored an illegal monument in Guta Penyatskaya, destroyed by vandals, on the anniversary of the destruction of the village. In Poland, on the anniversary of the anti-Ukrainian action “Vistula”, the local community makes a decision and dismantles the Ukrainian monument that stood in the cemetery for 23 years,” Vyatrovich wrote with regret in his blog.

He was supported by Rada deputy, former journalist Nikolai Knyazhitsky.

“After the destruction of Ukrainian graves on the days of commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Vistula action, the Polish initiators of this vandalism still had to recognize the justice of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and justify the murders and eviction of Poles by the Stalin and Hitler regimes,” Kniazhitsky said.
