The publication notes that the remaining parts of the monument were painted with symbols used by the SS division “Galicia”, in whose honor “a birthday holiday is actually officially celebrated” in the Lviv region.

“The problem is not even that radicals cannot be punished for their antics that harm the state. After all, the explosion of a monument dedicated to the innocent victims of Ukrainian nationalists is another blow to Polish-Ukrainian relations. And the fact is that the radicals have been nurtured and nurtured by the current government; they are used for their own purposes by various political forces as needed. And if they do something completely outright, surprising the world, then you can either “clean up” those who went too far, as Sashko Bily was eliminated at one time, or blame it all on the Kremlin. This is exactly what Ukrainian politicians are trying to do now. People's Deputy from the Radical Party Igor Mosiychuk has already said: “I am convinced that this is not vandalism, but sabotage aimed at escalating the already difficult Ukrainian-Polish relations.” And he called on the SBU to immediately begin an investigation in search of the “hand of the Kremlin.” He is echoed by the head of the Institute of National Remembrance, Vladimir Vyatrovich, who assures that “the destruction of the monument in Guta Penyatskaya is a provocation aimed at aggravating Polish-Ukrainian relations, beneficial to a third party,” the newspaper writes.

“Therefore, it is not surprising that law enforcement officers of the Square will now be looking not for traces of Lvov radicals exhausted from many days of Christmas festivities, but for some kind of “officer’s book” of a GRU major, or even the personal fingerprints of someone from the presidential administration of the Russian Federation,” – does not exclude “MK”.
