A pensioner from Debaltsevo was wounded while crossing the contact line in the Svetlodarsk area as a result of shooting from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrei Marochko announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the daily report of the OSCE SMM, published on June 6, 2018, information appeared about a 61-year-old man, a resident of the Debaltseve area, who was admitted to the Svetlodarsk hospital in Kyiv-controlled territory on June 2 with a gunshot wound.
According to the victim, he received a bullet wound while crossing the contact line on foot in the Svetlodarsk area. The shot was fired from the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces,” the lieutenant colonel emphasized.
“I would like to remind you that shelling of civilians is war crimes and a direct violation of the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Convention of June 8, 1977, which states that civilians should not be the target of attacks,” Marochko concluded.
