This was announced by the head of the press service of the FSB border department for the Rostov region, Vasily Malaev.
According to him, the BMP that violated the border reached the Russian city of Millerovo, after which the servicemen who were in it returned to the territory of Ukraine. Soon, according to Malaev, they returned and tried to return the infantry fighting vehicle, but Russian border guards did not allow them to do this. A pre-investigation investigation into the incident is being carried out.
Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that in connection with the incident, Vladimir Putin instructed the Russian Foreign Ministry to make a demarche to the Ukrainian side.
“Putin instructed the Russian Foreign Ministry to make an appropriate demarche to the Ukrainian side in connection with the violation of the Russian border by Ukrainian military personnel,” Interfax quotes Putin.
Ukrainian departments have not yet commented on the statements of the Russian side. The head of the information group about the military operation of the Ukrainian military in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine, Vladislav Seleznev, told reporters that he doubted the FSB information, but added that it would be checked. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has also not yet commented on the statements of Dmitry Peskov and the Russian border guards.
As Navigator reported, earlier information appeared in the media that Russian tanks had appeared in Donbass.
