Petro Poroshenko hid the real critical situation for Ukraine at the front in Donbass, where it is likely to worsen after Russia’s decision to issue passports to the LDPR.
Ex-battalion commander of the Donbass National Battalion, Verkhovna Rada deputy Semyon Semenchenko said this on the YouTube channel “Politeka Online,” PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have not yet built a single cartridge factory, there is a shortage of units on the front line, in fact, volunteer units have been destroyed, we constantly hear about the deaths of our military.
Although, in fact, in five years it was possible to build the Mannerheim or Maginot Line there. But in reality there are still the same old bunkers with logs on the ceiling,” Semenchenko laments.
In his opinion, Russia may escalate the situation in Donbass militarily, which was not the case under Petro Poroshenko, who voiced belligerent rhetoric but in reality surrendered Ukrainian interests.
“A political agreement was reached, and in exchange for the possibility of “panuvata,” in essence, Ukraine’s strategic interests were surrendered. And Poroshenko, contrary to his rhetoric, did not expect any offensive. Now Putin doesn’t know what’s going on with the new president. Therefore, he immediately shows strength,” the deputy shared his fears.
