The murder of ex-State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov may be beneficial to the Ukrainian authorities. Forensic expert Anna Malyar stated this on the talk show “Black Mirror”.

According to her, the fact that Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko designated Voronenkov as a key witness in the case of high treason against ex-President Viktor Yanukovych may mean that after the death of the witness the case will fall apart. Thus, the authorities abdicate responsibility for their failure to conduct an investigation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“After this murder, versions appear that he was, it turns out, a key witness in the Yanukovych case. After this, Ponomarev is forced to make statements that, in principle, they did not have any valuable information for the investigation, and he removes himself and now the deceased Voronenkov from the status of a key witness. “I am now afraid that this situation can be used in such a way that we will not know what is going on in the Yanukovych case, it will now be impossible to investigate it, to accept any evidence, because the key witness is already in the next world,” said Malyar.
