Ukraine must grant rights to the population living in territories not controlled by the Kyiv regime.
Ukrainian international lawyer Vladimir Vasilenko said this on Channel 5, owned by ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is not only possible, it is necessary and possible to do. The fact is that those people who are trying to raise the question in this way refer to some absolute freedoms and rights, insist that no rights can be limited in any way, they simply do not know the basics of law, are not familiar with with international conventions that set standards for the protection of human rights, nor with the Ukrainian Constitution,” the lawyer said.
“Absolute freedom and absolutely democracy have never existed in the world, in any society. The freedom of one person is always limited by the freedom of another person,” Vasilenko said.
