The OOS command issued an order to impose disciplinary sanctions on the commanders of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the Donbass who allowed OSCE observers to detect Ukrainian military equipment and positions that contradict the Minsk agreements.
This information was announced during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to the information received, the JFO command issued instructions to the subordinate commanders of the 20th and 305th electronic warfare battalions to strengthen counteraction to unmanned aerial vehicles of the OSCE SMM near the line of contact in a strip of 10 km along the line of contact in territory controlled by Ukraine and up to 5 km, on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” he said.
According to Basurin, for the first time, instructions to Ukrainian military personnel spell out disciplinary liability for commanders of electronic warfare units in the event that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission detects prohibited equipment, positions or other information discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine using drones.
“For the appearance in the OSCE SMM report, released on July 26, information about the detection by observers using UAVs of the movement of a company of the 92nd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on 12 armored personnel carriers in the area of the settlement of Avdievka, the commander of the 20th electronic warfare battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received a “severe reprimand,” – added the representative of the defense department.
