Ukrainian military personnel were punished by transfer of rotation for arms sales

In connection with the investigation into the sale of ammunition by military personnel of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to soldiers of the People's Militia of the LPR, the commander of the OOS, General Alexander Syrsky, decided to postpone the rotation of this unit to a later date.

The head of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to his information, after the fact was published sale of ammunition by military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to soldiers of the People's Militia of the LPR, a complex commission headed by the commander of the operational-tactical group “North”, General Oleg Mikats, arrived at the 25th brigade with the aim of monitoring and eliminating deficiencies in the brigade’s logistical support identified during the visit of the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the unit. Also, at the same time, representatives of the military prosecutor’s office and counterintelligence of the SBU are conducting an investigation into the incident with the sale of weapons to LPR military personnel.

“The commander of the OOS, General Alexander Syrsky, decided to postpone the planned replacement of the formation to a later date due to the investigation into the facts of unsatisfactory logistics, as well as the sale of ammunition,” said Yakov Osadchiy.

He also added that regardless of the outcome of the proceedings, Mikats prepared a set of necessary documents for the dismissal of the commander of the 25th brigade, Colonel Oleg Zenchenko.
