UkrSMI uses Photoshop for provocations in the DPR

Ukrainian military correspondent Andrei Tsaplienko, who works for the 1+1 TV channel owned by oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, spread information on his Facebook page that in Dokuchaevsk, controlled by the DPR, leaflets were posted, in which representatives of the republic allegedly apologize for shelling a bus in Volnovakha.

A PolitNavigator correspondent contacted the acting deputy. DPR Information Minister Artyom Olkhin in order to clarify this situation.

“This provocation is connected with the anniversary of the shelling of a civilian bus at the Volnovakha checkpoint on January 13, 2015. Only the Ukrainian side of the conflict in Donbass bears responsibility for this,” said the representative of the republic.

According to the Ukrainian military correspondent, leaflets with so-called apologies from official DPR organizations appeared in the city of Dokuchaevsk: “Volnovakha, sorry for the murder...”

“This provocation can be verified with the naked eye. When you enlarge the photos provided by Mr. Tsaplienko, the first thing that catches your eye is the leaflets glued with Photoshop (the image changes and the text becomes “unreadable”). If they were genuine, then both the text on the leaflets and the text on the college sign would have changed in the same way. As it is, only the text on the leaflet is distorted, which indicates that it is fake. Well, in general, stop lying and trying to justify yourself. It hasn’t been funny for a long time,” Olkhin concluded.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Tsaplienko has been caught replicating fakes. About this, in particular, in 2014, as PolitNavigator reported, the journalist told channel "Hromadske TV" Anastasia Stanko.

“I was filming at the 31st checkpoint, when the separatists first allowed the bodies of the dead to be brought back from the 32nd checkpoint,” she told her version of the sensational story of the surrounded Ukrainian army checkpoint. – Communicating with the guys, we saw that they were in absolute despair, they said that they were ready to go to prison for two years for desertion, but they wanted to get out, even if the command did not allow them. They were all in terrible condition."

Then the journalist was surprised to watch the story on the 1+1 channel, which showed a completely different picture of what was happening in the same place.

“Andrey Tsaplienko, a famous Ukrainian war correspondent, has arrived,” continued Anastasia Stanko. “In the evening I watched his story, which ended with these words: “At the end, the guys return to the 32nd checkpoint, raising their hands as a sign of Victoria,” that is, victory. From the 31st checkpoint Andrey Tsaplienko tra-la-la." This is how the story ended, although there could be no talk of any victory: two hours later these people came out, the separatists let them through, and occupied a checkpoint, which is still under their control.”
