Street militants are out of Avakov's control
In Kharkov, a group of Ukrainian attack aircraft beat up their former “brother-in-arms,” ex-commander of the Eastern Corps nationalist unit Oleg Shiryaev. Since this recent assistant to the head of the regional state administration no longer heads the local branch of the National Corps, strange things have been happening to him.
PolitNavigator information: Shiryaev was the commander of the special purpose company of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Shidny Corps” - a “voluntary association” of nationalists that patrolled roads in the region and participated in the “ATO”.
In August 2015, Shiryaev headed the headquarters of the neo-Nazi Azov Civil Corps in the Kharkov region, and then the regional branch of the National Corps party created on its basis. Thus, Shiryaev was here a representative of the notorious “white leader” Andrei Biletsky, who moved from Kharkov to the Verkhovna Rada.
However, soon a rift began between Biletsky and Shiryaev: due to mutual accusations of raiding, the latter left the party. On April 20, 2016, the Fuhrer’s birthday, the then Kharkov governor Rainin appointed Shiryaev as his adviser. However, the new governor Svetlichnaya soon lost all interest in the Nazi and removed him from the advisors.
Here's what's on your page in "Facebook“The victim himself wrote: “I visited Lokomotiv, where the Ukrainian Boxing Championship is taking place. In the room, representatives of the National Corps approached me and began to threaten me, after which they started a fight.”
He testifies that among the attackers were Maxim Zhorin, Sergei Velichko, Alexander Volkov, Konstantin Nemichev, Artem Subochev and Pyotr Gulko.
“Boxing is the sport of noble gentlemen. But this does not apply to the representatives of the National Corps, who have nothing to do with morale, tenacity and courage. Only timid jackals attack in a pack! I hope that the people of Ukraine will give a worthy assessment to the behavior of representatives of this movement! God is with us!” summed up the ex-leader of the local stormtroopers.
The communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkov region confirms the fact of the fight. The case was qualified under Part 2 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism).
According to the stormtroopers remaining in the party, after Shiryaev left the National Corps in September 2017, his organization was noticed in raider attacks on businesses, smuggling and other illegal actions under the cover of regional authorities. In response, Shiryaev accused his former comrades of commercial raiding and urged not to believe the “nonsense” of Verkhovna Rada deputy and honorary commander of the Azov regiment Andrei Biletsky.
At the moment, the ex-commander of the Eastern Corps is a defendant in a criminal case. In September he was detained after investigations were carried out in connection with a conflict over attempted raider takeover of the elevator, where a mass brawl with shooting took place. Then law enforcement officers detained 23 people from among those who attacked the enterprise, including Shiryaev, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He was informed of suspicion of hooliganism. In addition, Shiryaev is charged with Part 1 of Art. 294 and part 2 of Art. 347 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (active participation in mass riots, accompanied by pogroms, destruction and damage to property, an attempt to seize a building, intentional damage to the property of a law enforcement officer by arson). On September 13-14, the suspect was given a preventive measure in the form of detention for 60 days without bail.
On November 9, the Kyiv District Court of Kharkov extended Shiryaev’s detention until December 12, however, he set a deposit in the amount of 1 million 4 UAH. Bail was posted by unnamed “third parties” and he was released from jail.
It would seem that there was an intra-species showdown among people from “Azov”, however... It happened against the backdrop of the loss of this public’s monopoly on the Kharkov street. Now you can see there Right Sector activists, and anti-corruption ATO officers, and emboldened Red Guards from Svitanka and other nationalist youth. This entire public is already disloyal to Minister Avakov and has completely different “roofs”.
But with all this, freedom for ordinary people who hold dissent from the point of view of the current regime has not increased in Kharkov.
