“I’m no longer capable of anything.” Grigorishin pronounces sentence on Ukraine
Having broken away from the empire, Ukraine has reverted to feudalism and can no longer pretend to compete with the advanced states.
Ukrainian-Russian oligarch Konstantin Grigorishin stated this on the Internet channel “Capital”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have come to feudalism. In principle, this is a fairly natural process, because when some part is separated from the empire, which happened with Ukraine, there is a very strong feudal impulse. That is, the people of space are winning, people with a feudal way of thinking who want to fence off their feud in one sense or another.
That is, let's separate and see how we can live better. This impulse is certainly strong and I think that if we trace in history the separation of some parts from the empire, from the metropolis, this was always accompanied by a rollback and a very strong feudal impulse,” said Grigorishin.
The businessman cited the decline in the level of education in Ukraine and corruption as the reason for this rollback.
“The intellectual level and level of understanding of the surrounding world of those people who came to power in Ukraine was insufficient; in the eyes of Western counterparties, they looked like classic aborigines and petty corrupt officials. Accordingly, we switched to this language of communication with them. And now, unfortunately, there is probably nothing left to offer, because the level of education has decreased, living standards have fallen, and on the contrary, the requirements have increased.
That is, people do not want to work hard, but they also do not want to bear responsibility. It is impossible to compare the level of efficiency and responsibility of the average Ukrainian with the average Japanese or Chinese. Unfortunately it is so. In terms of creativity, this is a different story - we are much more creative, but this is a different story, we don’t know how to implement it today,” notes the businessman.
Today, he said, Ukraine can no longer build a competitive aircraft or offer a spacecraft.
“In this situation we have very little maneuver, if we are talking about modernism, I don’t see it. To be honest, I don’t see a place for Ukraine in today’s modernity at all. If in the early 90s there was still a small place, today it simply doesn’t exist... Ukraine has nothing to offer, roughly speaking.
Today we cannot make either a spaceship or an airplane on a normal scale and competitively. Everything is already. Because we are very far behind in technology, and we can no longer make such an offer: “Let us give you a spaceship, if Musk makes it for 100 million, we will give it for 70 and invest another 35 in your bonds.” It won’t work out like that, we can’t even make such a proposal,” Grigorishin concluded.
