The Petrikovsky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region seized the car from which there was a leak of nitric acid on the Dnieper - Kobelyaki - Reshetilovka highway, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“By the order of the investigator of the judge of the Petrikovsky District Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region dated August 9, 201, a car with a semi-trailer was seized, from which on August 7, 2018, in the Petrikovsky district, near the N-31 Dnepr - Kobelyaki - Reshetilovka highway, a leak of nitric acid occurred,” - the message says.
On August 7, near the village of Ivanovka in the Dnepropetrovsk region, as a result of the depressurization of a tank truck carrying 24 tons of nitric acid, about 4 tons of this substance leaked into the field. The spill area was about 40 sq.m. There are no casualties or injuries. Rescuers assured that the leak does not pose a danger to people. Because of this, criminal proceedings were opened. It subsequently became known that the company did not have a license to transport acid.
