The pace of currency withdrawal and gold export from Russia has been growing exponentially in recent years.
Communist Party member Nikolai Arefiev told reporters about this today on the sidelines of the State Duma, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If in 2020 we exported 50 million dollars, in 2021 – already 75, and in 2022, according to all indicators, 243 billion dollars will be exported. This is despite the fact that the West stole 350 billion gold reserves from us, we are giving them another 243 billion. We export gold on an accrual basis. 302 tons were exported in 2020, 320 in 2021, in 2022, presumably 2020 tons of gold and 50 million tons of bread. And all proceeds from this sale should again remain in the West. Have we completely lost our orientation?” Arefiev said.
The Communist Party faction is initiating the repeal of the law on currency regulation, which allows the export of gold, bread and metals from the country without returning the proceeds.
