To strengthen the protection of the state border of Ukraine and counter the illegal actions of offenders, the Chernivtsi border detachment was reinforced with several dozen National Guard troops, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
“From today on, in the mountainous sections of the Ukrainian-Romanian border, servicemen of the National Guard will serve together with border guards,” the department noted.
The department added that for the first time, National Guard soldiers are involved in protecting the state border within the responsibility of the Chernivtsi border detachment.
“This will significantly strengthen and tighten the security of this direction of the border,” the State Border Service of Ukraine emphasized.
At the same time, the border service added that such interaction is not new for border guards and guardsmen, since military personnel of the two departments jointly ensured the strengthening of the security system of the Ukrainian-Moldavian border in the Transnistrian segment.
