The Russian authorities deliberately “grew up” opposition leader Alexei Navalny in order to reduce the influence of the systemic opposition. This opinion was expressed today from the rostrum of the State Duma of the Russian Federation by Tamara Pletneva, a deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

“I know who Navalny is and who raised him. Why was it necessary to let this man run for mayor of Moscow, and even help him collect votes? Because they wanted to reduce the influence of the leading opposition force – the Communist Party of the Russian Federation,” Pletneva said.
She is sure that Navalny is financed by external forces.
“Where did he get so much money from that there were call centers in every city that called apartments. Everyone understands who raised this man and why. They couldn’t cope with Russia through sanctions and armed conflicts, and now they are trying to corrupt society from the inside,” the deputy said.
She complained that at Navalny’s rallies “the contingent is not Soviet”
“A new figure has appeared. They haven't figured it out, but they're following him. This is scary, we remember the orange revolutions. This is like death for Russia,” Pletneva said.
