Ukraine should think about how to officially celebrate the 450th anniversary of the burning of Moscow by the army of the Crimean Khanate. The leader of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation, former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Refat Chubarov, wrote about this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The extremist stressed that he was ready to consider various proposals regarding the “celebration.”
“On June 3, 1571, the army of the Crimean Khan Devlet-Girey captured and burned Moscow. How will we celebrate the 450th anniversary of this glorious historical date next year? We post all the proposals here,” Chubarov wrote.
Users of the social network suggested issuing a commemorative coin of the National Bank, a series of postage stamps, or even erecting a monument to Devlet-Girey in Kyiv. There were also more radical proposals.
“Maybe we should repeat it? Is it the Russians who dream about history repeating itself? They will be happy!” suggested Tatyana Labunskaya.
“In that campaign, according to historians, there were 60 horsemen. Where can we get so many of them now?” – Chubarov objected with regret.
