In Kyiv they rejoice: the terrorist attack at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric station “broke Russia’s plans”

The main goal of blowing up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station was to make it practically pointless for Russia to continue to hold this region.

Ukrainian military expert Oleg Starikov stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The presenter noted that after the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, the retention of these territories allegedly lost all meaning for Russia - the North Crimean Canal became shallow, and the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant was not able to continue operating.

“As far as I understand, the Zaporozhye NPP, if the fuel rods are pulled out, there is no need to keep it. It will be possible to keep heavy equipment there, and there will no longer be nuclear weapons.

And even a small stream will flow along the North Crimean Canal. Aksyonov stated that they had eighty percent security, but for two months. Well, until winter, and then the rains will come. But in any case, we somehow managed all these years,” the expert said.

Starikov noted that after this terrorist attack, some of the goals of the Special Military Operation allegedly failed.

“Everything for which this [SVO] was started – everything is breaking down. The isthmus, water to Crimea and electricity - all plans are broken.

But if someone thinks that they will leave after this, they will not leave. This is coming from a man who understands what the nuclear triad and strategic stability are – if something happens there [for the land corridor to Crimea] they will fight very seriously,” he rejoiced.
