The absence or reduction to a minimum of missile strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against Ukraine does not bode well for Moldova.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The channel moderator voiced one of the opinions that the absence of missile attacks on Ukraine should alert Moldova.
“How likely is it that the absence of these strikes indicates that Russia is simply stockpiling or saving missiles for subsequent actions in Moldova?” - he asked.
“It cannot be ruled out that missile strikes will be launched on the territory of Moldova in the event of a military escalation around Transnistria. This is a very likely scenario. Moldova could become a target, the armed forces of Moldova could become the target of these strikes,” Bortnik replied.
