In Kyiv, a woman died after contracting botulism, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press center of the capital's department of the State Food and Consumer Service.
It is reported that the woman probably consumed roach caught in the Desna on May 26. The fish was dried at home in April of this year. The victim sought medical help on May 27, at which time she was hospitalized at the Aleksandrovskaya Hospital with a diagnosis of clinical botulism. On the same day, she was injected with anti-botulism serum, but the woman died.
“The remains of fish products were disposed of by a relative of the sick person,” the State Food and Consumer Service assured.
Let us note that this case of botulism in Kyiv is not the first in the country. Similar ones were recorded almost throughout Ukraine.
