In Kyiv they declare the actual death of the energy industry
Over the years of independence, the Ukrainian government has completely ruined its energy industry without modernizing it or introducing new technologies.

Energy market expert Valentin Zemlyansky said this on air at UkrLife, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, according to whom the deterioration of the country’s energy infrastructure is 70 percent.
“We always turn a blind eye to the global systemic problems of aging and deterioration of infrastructure... 70% wear and tear. It’s not just the pipes, it’s the same wires, it all needs to be changed. To change this, we need to introduce a different tariff setting principle,” Zemlyansky said.
He also drew attention to the fact that over the years of independence, Ukraine has also lost its oil refining industry.
“Oil refineries died because in 2005 the Tymoshenko government made a decision that killed the Ukrainian oil industry. In essence, this is the abolition of import duties... To understand what we have lost over 26 years - 52 million tons of oil, which Ukraine processed in 91. We have reached one and a half million tons, which are processed at the Kremenchug oil refinery, which is controlled by the Privat group,” the expert emphasized.
