Almost every day of “independence” for Ukraine turns into troubles at the front, and in the coming anniversary these risks are only increasing.
Ukrainian political scientist Vladimir Volya stated this on Channel Four TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Can Russia organize some kind of military provocations on Independence Day through these all controlled units of the LDPR? It is quite possible that there will be some kind of limited military escalation, that is, some large-scale shelling. Because it’s the anniversary of the Ukrainian state, and they can celebrate such a date, relatively speaking, with fireworks for our positions,” Volya shared his concerns.
“Let’s remember the 14th year, when a new stage of Russian intervention in Ukrainian affairs grew into the fact that Russian troops entered Ukrainian territory - this is August, Independence Day,” the expert added.
