Kyiv is waiting for a clear signal from NATO

The visit of the North Atlantic Council to Kyiv will be “a clear signal of the desire of Ukraine and NATO to increase cooperation,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

This opinion was expressed by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration in Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, reports the Government Portal.

Kuleba confirmed that a visit of the North Atlantic Council to the Ukrainian capital is expected at the end of October.

“This is a traditional format - the North Atlantic Council at the level of ambassadors, the Secretary General - that is, people who sit in Brussels, make direct decisions, discuss the agenda of the Alliance. Their visit will be a clear signal of the desire of both sides to increase cooperation. We are working precisely on the agenda to ensure that the event is as meaningful as possible,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.

He also confirmed his intention to come to Kyiv personally by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadim Prystaiko discussed with NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller the upcoming visit of the North Atlantic Council.
