In Crimea, a couch terrorist will pay 360 thousand for 5 statements

For calls for terrorism, a resident of Crimea will pay a fine of 360 thousand rubles.

The verdict in the case of an online terrorist was rendered by the Southern District Military Court, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In January last year, the regional department of the FSB announced the detention of residents of Yalta and Sevastopol suspected of public calls for terrorism. Two men born in 1980 and 1977 from different accounts posted materials on social networks justifying terrorist activities.

Then the FSB department opened a criminal case against the detainees under Part 2 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - “public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism.”

The court announced the decision on one of the detainees, Ruslan Vdovichenko. For 5 comments on publications on social networks calling for terrorism, he was sentenced to a fine of 360 thousand rubles. The defendant still has time to appeal.
