In Crimea they recalled Sobchak, assessing the new Ukrainian ban
The decision of the State Border Service of Ukraine to close entry to Crimea for foreign citizens will not change anything for the peninsula.
State Duma deputy from the Republic of Crimea Andrei Kozenko stated this in a commentary to Izvestia.
“For four and a half years, the only foreigner was Sobchak who tried to enter Crimea through Ukraine. And they didn’t let her in. And from this year, those who travel by land have a great time traveling along the Crimean Bridge. And those who prefer a plane have already appreciated our new — by the way, an international airport. Statistics show that the number of foreign citizens, including from Europe and the USA, coming to Crimea not only as tourists, but also on official visits, is increasing every year. Therefore, one more ban is one less. This will not change anything for Crimea and “foreigners,” Kozenko is convinced.
He added that the only ban that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko managed to introduce “is a ban on the truth.”
“If someone had forbidden him, it would be better to ban him and give criminal orders,” said the State Duma deputy.
