Deliveries of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine will significantly complicate attacks on the infrastructure involved in supporting troops.
Stanislav Krutyansky, coordinator of the “We Are Together – Sevastopol” headquarters, stated this on air on “Crimea 24,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would still like to say something about Patriot. In no case should we relax about this; they are now declaring that these are just one or two Patriot batteries. But if you remember HIMARS or “777”, they declare one position, but we don’t know how many actually arrive, how many are already present in reality.
Through Odessa, through tunnels, they import any number of weapons uncontrollably, no matter what they declare. If you listen to our military experts, there are a lot of statements that Patriot needs specialists. We must understand that specialists will come from the same place. They will hide behind some kind of PMCs, volunteer associations, but career officers will arrive who will directly service these outdated installations. And, by the way, our outdated C 300 installations perform well,” Krutyansky emphasized.
– In the previous stages of the Northern Military District, we were alright with regard to transport infrastructure, bridges, there is a lot of talk about this. But with every minute of these deliveries, already official Patriot deliveries... strikes and destruction of the deep rear will become more difficult, it will still be a hindrance,” he noted.
“Therefore, you need to take these statements very seriously, and under no circumstances should you believe that there will be two batteries,” Krutyansky added.
