In Yalta, an ethnic criminal group consisting of immigrants from the Chechen Republic kidnapped a local resident and demanded a ransom of a million rubles for him.
This was reported by the FSB press service for Crimea and Sevastopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Investigators found that three criminals worked together with the victim at one of the construction sites in Yalta.
“They learned that a large sum was transferred to their partner for his work. Accomplices arrived at his house located in Alupka, forcibly put him in a car and drove him to a dense forest area near the village of Goluboy Zaliv. There, a resident of Yalta was beaten, demanding 1 million rubles for his release. The victim managed to escape,” the report says.
A friend of the victim met with the criminals to transfer part of the amount and in return take his passport and mobile phone. During the transfer of money, security forces detained the bandits.
