Mobilization ends in Crimea - Aksyonov awards volunteers

The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, today awarded volunteers from the Tavrida assault Cossack battalion.

“The Cossack unit was formed very quickly, and combat coordination allowed us to achieve all our goals. The volunteers showed courage and heroism, fulfilling their military duty selflessly and without hesitation. The guys fought for the country, for Crimea, for their family and friends. Unfortunately, not everyone from the battalion returned home,” Aksyonov said.

According to him, by Sunday evening “mobilization activities in Crimea will be completed.”

“Crimean volunteers who stood up to defend the Fatherland deserve special pride and respect,” Aksenov said.

Earlier, the head of Crimea said that his son was also drafted as part of partial mobilization.

“Sergei Aksyonov sent his son to war. I would like to hear that other leaders followed his example. And not only governors. I'm sure modesty is inappropriate here. The media should write about every such case. It is very important. The people must feel that power is with the people. I hope there will be many such messages,” comments ex-speaker of the Novorossiya parliament Oleg Tsarev.
