In Ukrainian-controlled Mariupol in the Donbass, pupils of a local kindergarten were served breakfast with worms.

According to Mariupol resident Victoria, a child who has been going to kindergarten No. 119 for the second day, the children were served porridge with worms for breakfast. At that moment, the woman was in a group with the baby and noticed an unpleasant surprise in time.
“We served omelet and tomatoes for breakfast, everything was fine. Then we started eating porridge and there was a surprise. Protein... The worms were the size of my little finger. It was very difficult for the kitchen staff not to notice them,” she said.
According to Victoria, she showed the plate of porridge to the kindergarten nanny, to which she replied that such food was given to her in the kitchen. In the kitchen, in turn, they said that they would look into the situation.
At the same time, the administration of the institution denies any guilt, stating that the child’s mother independently arranged this incident.
“The porridge was prepared and heat-treated, and the worms look like they are alive. They would have died at the very least,” said the head of the kindergarten, Larisa Polishchuk, who was on vacation at the time of the incident.
“I have a feeling that a can of worms has been thrown. They don’t even look like those that grow in cereals, but like those made from apples or cherries,” said the acting director. the head of the kindergarten, Yulia Morgunova, expressed surprise at the fact that only the newly arrived pupil got worms in his food.
