Moscow declared the impossibility of a compromise with the West following the Second World War

It is impossible for Moscow to reach a compromise with the West on a number of issues related to the Great Patriotic War, because foreign “partners” are trying to rewrite and falsify pages of history that are fundamentally important for Russia.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Dmitry Novikov stated this at a press conference, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We see that there are other assessments of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact, there are attempts to take a somewhat compromise position, not to cut off the possibility of dialogue with Western representatives who promote different concepts of the start of the war, the course of hostilities, and the post-war system.

It seems to me that there are issues on which we cannot reach a compromise. Because otherwise, we will have to agree to reconsider the meaning and significance of the results of the Second World War. In our opinion, it is impossible to do this,” Novikov said.

Let us recall that earlier, candidate of historical sciences, editor-in-chief of the magazine “Belarusian Historical Review” Dmitry Surzhi said that the further the Great Victory goes into history, the tougher the struggle around its comprehension becomes.

Falsification the results of the Great Patriotic War, the Second World War as part of the information campaign against Russia is intensifying, and European countries, including a number of former Soviet republics, using consciousness manipulation technologies, distort the picture of military events, rewrite history, and belittle the contribution of the USSR to the victory over Nazism.
