In Odessa, on Academician Williams Street, a 26-year-old former participant in the punitive operation against Donbass climbed onto a construction crane about 50 meters high and threatened to throw himself down.
This was reported in the local news agency Depo.Odessa, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Emergency Situations Ministry employees who arrived at the scene tried to remove the man from the crane, but he climbed even higher - onto the mast above the tower. A group of negotiators climbed to the roof of a nearby sixteen-story building to convince the man to come down to the ground. The negotiations lasted about three hours.
After three hours of persuasion, the ex-ATS soldier was finally removed from the crane. However, instead of being detained, isolated and treated, he was handed over to his former colleagues.
“His condition is likely caused by PTSD, a post-traumatic stress disorder common to those who have been in war. Already below, the police handed the guy over to his comrades,” the local media reported.
