In Odessa, the judge was afraid to make a decision on Markov’s release

Odessa, February 25 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – In Odessa today, a court hearing was unexpectedly canceled, which was supposed to decide on the release of politician Igor Markov, since the day before the new leadership of the Verkhovna Rada canceled the decision to block the prisoner’s deputy card.

The hearing was supposed to start at 12:00, but suddenly Judge Alexey Kaplya announced that, according to the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court, the consideration of Markov’s case would be transferred to Crimea.

Markov's lawyers took the judge's words as evidence of Kaplya's unwillingness to take responsibility and make a decision. “The decision of the Supreme Administrative Court was made 2 weeks ago, but why then was the meeting scheduled for today the day before, did the prosecutor arrive?” – the politician’s press service explained to Navigator.

Now there are people in the courtroom - journalists, relatives, Markov's supporters. Kaplya and his lawyer are also present here - a judge in a robe, but he declares that this is not a court hearing, but simply a conversation with explanations about the reasons for transferring the case to Crimea.

Markov himself is not in court, and no conference call with him has been organized.

There are 2 buses with Berkut on duty at the trial.
