The UN accused Ukraine of sabotaging the investigation into the Odessa tragedy and the killings on the Maidan
The UN Human Rights Mission in Ukraine noted the lack of progress in identifying those responsible for the arson of the House of Trade Unions in Odessa on May 2, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced today by the head of the mission in Ukraine, Fiona Fraser, at the presentation of the UN report on the human rights situation for the period from February 16 to May 15, 2018.
“We do not see any progress in the investigation and search for those responsible for the tragedy in Odessa on May 2. At the end of April, I myself was in Odessa, where I met with the victims and relatives of the victims, they all demand justice,” she said.
Fraser also noted the lack of progress in the investigation of the events on the Maidan in 2014, during which more than 100 people died and hundreds were injured.
Let us recall that in Odessa on May 2, 2014, as a result of a fire in the House of Trade Unions, where Maidan opponents were located, 48 people were burned, over 200 were injured when they were burned and jumped out of the windows of the burning building by Maidan militants.
