In Poland, the head of Ukrainian society was fired for falsifying history

On August 30, the chairman of the Ukrainian Society of Poland, Grigory Kupriyanovich, was expelled from the Committee for the “Protection of the Memory of Struggle and Martyrdom” at the Institute of National Remembrance in Lublin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the local publication Onet.

“I was called into the office of the head of the Committee for the Protection of the Memory of Struggle and Martyrdom at the Institute of National Remembrance in Lublin and was handed a document of dismissal. I don't know the reason. Perhaps this is not a place for Ukrainians, but this is discrimination,” Kupriyanovich told the publication.

Earlier, the district prosecutor's office in the city of Zamosc, Lublin Voivodeship of Poland, began an investigation, according to the chairman of the Ukrainian Society, Grigory Kupriyanovich, in relation to the Ukrainians killed in Sagryn during the actions of the Polish armed underground in 1944.

Thus, on July 10, the Lublin governor Czarnek called on the Polish prosecutor’s office to learn the words of the chairman of the Ukrainian Society in Lublin, which he said in Sagryn. According to the Lublin governor, Kupriyanovich, in his own words, equates the events that occurred in Sagryn in 1944 with the events in Volyn in 1943.
