In the city of Popasnaya in the Luhansk region, a quarrel between the Ukrainian military and local residents ended tragically, the press center of the so-called ATO reports on its Facebook page.

It is noted that on August 9, the Popasnyansky police department received a message that civilians were hospitalized: a man diagnosed with a gunshot wound to the right leg caused by an unknown person, and a woman with injuries in the form of gunshot wounds, who died in the hospital from her injuries.
“According to preliminary data, the incident occurred against the backdrop of a domestic dispute between servicemen of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilians. Information on this fact was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations based on elements of a crime. The possible motives for committing a criminal offense are now being established. The ATO command expresses deep condolences to the family of the deceased and is taking measures to conduct the case objectively,” the statement says.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the Ukrainian Armed Forces held joint exercises with the Americans, during which counteraction to “angry” local residents was practiced.
