This was stated from the rostrum of parliament by Andrei Teteruk, deputy of parliament, vice-chairman of the Popular Front faction, former battalion commander of the Peacemaker battalion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The deputy said that information appeared on the official UN website that the Ukrainian language began to take shape much later than the Russian language.
“The Ukrainian language is supposedly presented as a later offshoot from Russian and as one that began to take shape much later than Russian and Belarusian. We cannot ignore this false fact, since this statement fits into a series of purposeful steps in the assessment of the Ukrainian language, and accordingly the Ukrainian people, which have been adopted by the Kremlin and have been voiced more than once by Putin. These fakes are constantly repeated by the Russian and, unfortunately, Ukrainian media,” the politician was indignant.
According to him, now there is a “new stage of the offensive”, in which the UN is used.
“The strategy of Russian ideology lies in such steps. First: the Ukrainian language is supposedly a derivative of Russian, therefore it cannot be considered independent and ancient. Second. And if there is no separate language, then, according to the Kremlin, there is no separate people, but one Russian people. And if there is a single language and there is a single people, in their opinion, Russian, then, as Moscow believes, it is necessary to put an end to experimentation regarding the independence of the state of Ukraine,” Teteruk said.
