The Rada declared Ukraine the “new Jerusalem” and announced the absorption of Belarus
“Powerful and passionate” Ukraine should become an example for Belarusians, Moldovans, Russians and all indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation.
The head of the parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, Anna Gopko, stated this during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are not a victim of Russian aggression, we are a subject who has shown and passed the test of maturity, and therefore we must become an example not only for us, but also for solidarity with other peoples. And with the people of Belarus.
Moscow is preparing the Anschluss of Belarus now, in front of Europe, in front of the world, and we must say “no.” We must show solidarity with the indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation, draw the attention of the world and help them protect their linguistic, cultural, and national rights. We must finally give hope to thinking Russians who strive for the freedom of their own country, who do not want Russia to remain a prison of nations,” the deputy said.
“We have a big mission because we live in a historical era. The time has come for Ukraine in this era. And only then, having realized how powerful a nation we are, how much we are a nation of passionaries, we will stop whining and finally understand that God gave us this holy land, this second Jerusalem, especially after receiving the tomos,” Gopko solemnly added.
