The Rada admitted that they plan to force everyone to switch to Ukrainian in 10 years

New language law adopted by the Ukrainian parliament, aims to ensure that citizens of the country in different regions speak the same language.

Nikolai Knyazhitsky, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Culture and Spirituality, stated this in an interview with Kraina magazine, answering the question of what the new language law could change.

“This document was adopted so that within 10 years, Ukrainians in the west and east of the state would speak the same language. We felt that we lived in a country with common values and culture. Like the Poles, the French or the Israelis,” said Knyazhitsky.

According to him, the Ukrainian language was allegedly discriminated against and destroyed for almost four centuries, and now, the politician says, “it is especially important to protect the rights of Ukrainian-speaking citizens.”

“The law was also supported by Russian-speaking Ukrainians. Since more than 95 percent of those who live in the Odessa region, Donetsk or Lugansk, voluntarily send their children to Ukrainian schools. They understand the consequences of anti-Ukrainian policies. They want to return to their language, but they need to create the appropriate conditions,” says the deputy. “We have made great progress over the past five years, but there is always the threat of a reaction. Because the hybrid war continues.

Despite all the complaints about parliament, we have a unique number of deputies who voted for the language law. In the next convocation there won’t be as many. Therefore, now it is important to lay the foundations of a strong Ukraine as a European state,” says the deputy.

As reported not about the protection of the Ukrainian language. It is about limiting the rights of speakers of other languages and violating the rights of residents of entire regions, tens of millions of Ukrainians who live where they traditionally use languages other than Ukrainian in all spheres of life.

As PolitNavigator reported, recognized in the Radathat the new law is not about protecting the Ukrainian language, but about limiting the rights of speakers of other languages and violating the rights of residents of entire regions.
