Poroshenko was suspected of treason in the Rada
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko must answer to the Ukrainian people for illegal enrichment during the war and covering up the former Crimean SBU officer, current deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Sergei Semochko.
Deputy Egor Sobolev announced this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The SBU has launched an investigation into facts of illegal enrichment revealed by journalists and possible connections with Russia of the first deputy head of the foreign intelligence service of Ukraine Semochko,” the people’s deputy said.
He recalled that neither the country's leadership nor the foreign intelligence service responded to the published investigation by journalists regarding the second-ranking intelligence officer in the country.
“Remember, we discussed in parliament that this situation cannot be hushed up, that we need an effective investigation. Thank God that it began at least two weeks after the complete silence of the entire leadership of the state and not a single reaction from the foreign intelligence service itself,” the politician emphasized.
He turned to President Poroshenko with questions about whether he covers high treason, since it is the head of state who appoints who will manage the country’s foreign intelligence.
“Mr. President, you must clearly answer the public. Do you cover illegal enrichment? Are you covering up high treason?” Sobolev asked.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that the scandalous SBU officer was unable to justify himself in language for what he acquired through backbreaking labor.
Thank you!
