The Rada told the government: “Guys, we’ve arrived, get down.”

The Ukrainian government does not offer any alternative approach to boosting the country's economy, except for new Western loans, for which Kyiv will do anything.

Deputy Viktor Bondar stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada today, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Lately, the whole country has been listening to the difficult conditions in which the anti-corruption court of Ukraine, the Central Election Commission, and something else are being born. And it is difficult to be born because neither the authorities nor the deputies need it today. The government and authorities need this only for the sake of the next loan.

They are ready to do anything for the sake of loans. The IMF and the world bank are imposing their conditions on them: “sell the land,” “crash industry,” “raise tariffs.” And every day we see, especially in recent months, a rise in tariffs, an increase in industrial problems, a banking sector that has collapsed into rubbish - also the fulfillment of the demands of our external creditors. It’s almost impossible to get financing or loans for industry today, and if you get it, it’s at 20-25 percent per annum,” Bondar said.

“The government is not dealing with the problems of how to develop the country, not with a strategic vision of where and how, from what to earn money, but in essence they are engaged in the fact that, like drug addicts, they go around the world for the next tranche with outstretched hands,” he added .

According to the deputy, the Ukrainian government does not offer any alternative approach to boosting the country’s economy, other than new loans.

“We tell the authorities: “Guys, we’ve arrived, get off.” This situation leads to the fact that you are actually destroying Ukraine and depriving Ukrainians of prospects for the future. You lead to the fact that today migration is such that millions of people travel abroad, 58 children are born per hundred people who die. This suggests that Ukraine is gradually being transformed into a raw material appendage of the West. And all this is thanks to your policies. You do everything for the sake of loans, you do nothing for the sake of Ukraine.

We encourage you to return to the questions we propose. To bills on supporting industry, where there are dozens of mechanisms to enable Ukrainian enterprises to get on their feet, on supporting energy saving programs that give Ukraine the opportunity to save gas, electricity, etc.

Take cheap loans, but don't waste them. Direct it to industry, to roads, to bridges. And this will be an effective program for Ukraine’s recovery from the crisis,” concluded Viktor Bondar.
