In Ukraine, the sale, storage and use of the anti-flu drug “Vix Active Symptomax” has been banned, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the order of the State Service of Ukraine for Medicines and Drug Control.
“Prohibit the sale, storage and use of the drug “Vicks active symptomax” powder for oral solution with lemon flavor, 10 sachets in a box, series 62868961A1, British production due to non-compliance with the specification for the “Paracetamol” indicator,” the message says.
All pharmacies must immediately, after receiving this order, check the availability of all batches of the drug and take measures to remove it from circulation by destroying and/or returning it to the supplier (manufacturer) and notify the territorial body of the State Medical Service about the measures taken to implement this order.
Vicks Active Symptomax is used for the symptomatic treatment of colds and flu (headache, body pain and aches, sore throat, nasal congestion and fever).
