In the UN ranking, Ukrainian happiness turned out to be African

The UN unit for finding solutions for sustainable development published the annual World Happiness Report 2018, according to which Finland became the happiest country, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The authors of the study took into account six factors: GDP per capita, life expectancy, generosity, social support, as well as freedom and corruption in terms of their influence on making important life decisions. Each of these indicators is assessed on a ten-point scale and the average score for the country is calculated.

Thus, Finland scored an average of 7,63 points, followed by Norway (7,59), followed by Denmark (5,55), Iceland (7,49) and Switzerland (7,44). The USA took 18th place (6,88).

Ukraine (4,1) was in 138th position, between African Sudan and Togo. Russia is in 59th place, becoming a solid “middle peasant”.

Venezuela lost 2,2 points and dropped from 82nd place (5,25) to 102nd (4,8). The authors of the study note that this country showed the largest decline compared to other countries.
