In the center of Simferopol, at the Glavpochtamt stop, a passenger bus crashed into a crowd of people waiting for transport.
An eyewitness to the events reported this to PolitNavigator.
According to the man, the bus suddenly turned into a public transport stop and collided with people. As a result of the accident, a woman died on the spot; no other victims are known.
“Right before the stop, a medium-capacity bus at the Main Post Office turned to the right and drove straight into the crowd. One woman seemed to die immediately, the rest managed to jump away. Right in front of my eyes. I didn’t understand why this maneuver happened at all. Either the steering wheel is jammed or something, I don’t know, but it’s an accident, not a terrorist attack,” said an eyewitness.
Let us remind you that earlier in Europe there were several terrorist attacks when drivers of large cars crashed into a crowd of people at speed.
So, on July 14, 2016, a truck driver rammed people on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice; on December 19, a similar terrorist attack occurred at a fair in the center of Berlin. In March and June 2017, similar terrorist attacks occurred in London, and on April 7 in Sweden. Often these crimes were committed by terrorists from the Islamic State (banned in the Russian Federation).
